112: Ukraine officially buys coal from militants-held areas, says minister of occupied territories

Chernysh: Only businesses that have re-registered their activity in the government-controlled territory can supply coal to Ukraine

The coal from the occupied territories of Donbas region is officially delivered to Ukraine, according to the Minister of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons Vadym Chernysh, 112.international reports.

"The coal from the uncontrolled territories is officially delivered to the controlled territory, and provides us with electricity. I emphasize that a lot of people are working there, the hundreds of thousands who are somehow related, and pay taxes, and businesses that pay military taxes to Ukraine," Chernysh said.

He also said that the Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories and displaced persons has not yet started its work, expecting for a state budget amendment.

Chernysh added only the businesses that have re-registered their activity in the government-controlled territory can supply coal to Ukraine.
