EBRD to open business support offices across Ukraine

Any businessperson will be able to easily reach offices 

Ukraine's key money lender – the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) – intends to launch 15 regional offices on a basis of business organizations, which are already operating on the Ukrainian market, to help develop small and medium-sized companies in Ukraine.

This was announced by Ekaterina Rigg, EBRD representative in Ukraine, UNIAN news agency reports.

Every businessperson from any place of Ukraine will be able to easily reach offices within 1-1.5 hour, where he/she can get a competent advice.

"We want to open business support centres. Our task is to find partners in regions and provide them with the knowledge our institution has", Ekaterina Rigg stated.

She added that for the next two weeks the EBRD will announce a tender for organizations which can be basis for establishing these centres.

Rigg informed that the EBRD will hold business meetings in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Odesa, where the European Bank will present the tender criteria and tell more about what functions of business support centres.

The EU and the EBRD previously signed an agreement to allocate EUR 28 million for advisory, informational and training support for Ukrainian small and medium businesses under EU4Business programme.
