Slovakia wants to increase reverse gas supplies to Ukraine

On September 6, Ukraine PM met his Slovak counterpart during working visit to Poland to participate in Economic Forum in Krynica Zdroj

Slovakia intends to help increase reverse gas flow to Ukraine.

This was stated by Prime Minister Robert Fico after meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Groysman, according to the press service of Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.

"Prime Minister Robert Fico said Slovakia's government is ready to assist in supplying Ukraine with maximum volumes of gas through reverse flow pipelines", the statement says.

Fico also expressed his willingness to provide maximum assistance in transporting the Caspian oil through Ukraine and Slovakia to the Czech refinery in Kralupy.

The parties agreed to restart the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Slovak commission on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation and to arrange the commission meetings in the near future in Ukraine.

As earlier reported, Slovakia is ready to conclude 'new projects on gas transit to Europe' with Ukraine.
