Export volumes to the E.U. constitute nearly a half of the Ukrainian export structure

The European Union is now the main Ukrainian trade partner.

Since the beginning of 2016 nearly 45% of Ukrainian export headed to the E.U., whereas Russia only got 8%.

Agricultural and alimentary production make up nearly half of the export, the other two big branches are metallurgy and machinery.

Despite the positive trends, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine states the export has shortened perceptibly.

For instance, during the first two months of selling goods, Kyiv earned  USD 4,7 billion, 21% less than the previous year.

The negative trend is the most vivid in the eastern regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, and also Kyiv.
