Ukraine ready to hold gas talks with E.U., Russia any time convenient for Brussels

Ukraine refused to purchase Russian gas in November 2015

Ukraine informed the European Commission on its readiness to hold negotiations on gas issues in a trilateral format, according to a representative of the country's Energy Ministry.

Ukraine informed the European Commission on its will to hold gas talks in the Ukraine – E.U. – Russia format "any time convenient for Brussels," Director for strategic planning and European integration at the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Mykhail Bno-Ayriyan wrote on Facebook.

"Yesterday (April 25), we appealed to the leaders of the European Commission regarding our willingness to participate in the negotiations in the gas sphere in the trilateral Ukraine-E.U.-Russia format, at any time convenient for Brussels," wrote the official.
