Ukrainian army to get new weapons

The latest rifle and mortar models are developed according to NATO standards

Ukrainian army is getting a new weapon. A mortar of 60-mm caliber is developped according to NATO standards. The new model is able to release 20 shells per minute and is easily constructed in couple of seconds. Another one is a sniper rifle, engineered to break through the armour. The soldiers say the new developments are going to be put to great use.

Valeriy Synitsyn, 'Mayak' plant technical director: "We have two state orders for the Defence Ministry. It is mainly mortars of 120-mm and 60-mm calibres. Ukraine has no similar production, that is why we produce the shells as well. This sniper rifle is also for the Defense Ministry."
