Last year, the airline announced its intention to close down its Ukrainian subsidiary

Central and Eastern European budget airline Wizz Air can return to Ukraine as a fully functional company even in 2016.

Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan reports on that, according to Ukrainian media

"War impacts the situation. However, we have significantly increased our domestic traffic, we see a good growth in transit traffic through the international airport Boryspil which is turning into a real hub. Also, foreign companies that are ready to enter the Ukrainian market, show a great interest (in working with us)", says the Minister.

According to him, Wizz Air is ready to return to the 'Ukrainian skies'.

"I think, the largest European low-cost may enter the Ukrainian market even this year, American airlines also declare their intention (to enter the Ukrainian market)," added Omelyan.
