Bavarian police detained 16-year-old teenager, a friend of Munich attacker

The teenager met the attacker just before the attack

The two were in contact through WhatsApp. The detained boy met the gunman just before the shooting in Olympia shopping mall. He also knew the attacker had a Glock 17 firearm.  

Now police questions the teenager. He could be accused of not informing about a crime.

The 16-year-old youth of Afghan origin has met the assailant last summer when they were undergoing psychiatric care. 18-year-old attacker planned his crime during a year. He had a manifesto text on his computer and was shooter games fan.
