Blood spilled as Ukraine football fans attacked in Italy

Two fans reportedly ended up in hospital with knife wounds 

Ukrainian football fans have been attacked in Naples ahead of the Champions League game between Dynamo Kyiv and the local SSC Napoli, according to the local daily newspaper Il Mattino.

Two Ukrainians ended up in hospital with knife wounds, inflicted by ‘a mob pretending to be Napoli fans', the article claims.

The Dynamo fans were wounded in two separate attacks.

The first occurred when one of the Ukrainians was assaulted by several people, who ‘stabbed him in the abdomen and a thigh'.

The wound of the second fan, reportedly a 50-year old man, were said to be less serious.

The police are still investigating these attacks.
