Ceasefire: Ukrainian troops attacked 18 times, sniper groups reported

Russian proxies commence attacks along the whole of the frontline, heavy weapon not used

Ukrainian troops in Donbas were attacked 18 times during a day, press center of Ukraine's Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters reports. Town of Avdiyivka in Donetsk region being the "hottest spot" of the frontline, but no heavy weapons were used – militants attacked using grenade launchers, machine-guns and small arms.

In particular, three instances of the violation of the ceasefire were noted in the Luhansk sector, nine attacks were reported in the Mariupol direction, and six more near Donetsk.

ATO HQ also reports militant sniper groups being used.

"The enemy started to use long-range rifles in the Mariupol and Donetsk sectors. In particular, the towns of Maryinka and Avdiyivka came under sniper fire," HQ report states.

Three Russian spy drones were spotted in Donbas during the day. The Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed they strictly follow the Minsk agreements despite the provocations.

On a previos day Russian proxies violated their ceasefire vow 26 times per day.
