French police arrest a man suspected in terrorism

Detained is said to be a member of terrorist network

French police have arrested a man during an anti-terrorist operation on the outskirts of Paris.

The country's Interior Minister Bernard Cazneuve claims the 34-year-old is suspected of planning an attack in France. The accused is said to have been involved in a terrorist network.

Police officers found heavy weapons and explosives in his apartment. According to Cazneuve, the operation allowed the French forces to thwart a upcoming attack.

No evident links to the blasts in Paris or Brussels have been found yet.
