Main suspect of November's Paris attacks tells he planned to blow himself up

Salah Abdeslam confessed to planning terrorist attack

The main suspect of November's Paris attacks planned to blow himself up at the Stade de France stadium - but changed his mind.

Salah Abdeslam made the confession to Belgian investigators a day after he was shot in the leg and captured during a police raid in Brussels.  

Prosecutors say it could take up to three months for Mr. Abdeslam to be handed over to France after he vowed to fight extradition to France.

The gun and bomb attacks on the stadium, bars and a concert hall killed 130 people and marked the deadliest militant assault in Europe since 2004.
