For the past 24 hours, Russian proxies have fired 22 times along the whole contact line. This data was reported by Ukraine's Anti-Terrorist Operation HQ.
Separatist forces shelled the town of Avdiivka with large caliber mortars. The Svitlodarsk bridgehead also came under enemy fire.
In the direction of Mariupol, Russian-backed separatists launched shelling with grenade launchers, machine guns, and small arms.
During the night, a militant subversive group approached the village of Novozvanivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to push the enemy forces back.
Cold weather conditions make Ukrainian military think how to stay warm their positions without exposing their location. Smoke from a heater can easily disclose where Ukrainian soldiers are positioned. However, Ukrainian soldiers are using the experience gained from last year's winter season.
