OSCE releases images of their UAVs attacked in eastern Ukraine conflict zone

Militants repeatedly attack surveillance drones to conceal facts of ceasefire violations

The Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE SMM) has released images on Twitter showing attacks on SMM unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone.

The first image shows the shelling of the OSCE long-range drone by militants of the Donetsk People's Republic. The attack occurred near Dolomitne on May.


The second image shows anti-aircraft gun Zu-23 and anti-aircraft missile system Osa near the occupied town of Korsun in Donetsk region. The image is dated June 1, one day before the downing of the SMM UAV in this area.

The last image reportedly shows the Ukrainian military shooting at the SMM UAV. The image is dated May 17 and taken near the village of Stanitsa Luhanska.

As previously reported, the OSCE SMM monitors came under mortar fire in the populated area of Vodiane, Donetsk region, on June 22.
