Police named a suspect in Ukrainian pianist's children murder
The estranged wife of celebrated Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko has been charged with killing the couple's two daughters.
A spokesperson for the Benbrook Police department said 31-year-old Sofya Tsygankova is charged with two counts of capital murder in the deaths of daughters, Nika, 5-years-old, and Michela, 1-year-old.
"Earlier this afternoon, the Benbrook Police Department served two warrants of arrest on Sofya Tsygankova for the charge of capital murder of a person under 10 years of age, a first degree felony. These charges are a result of the deaths of 5-year-old Nika Kholodenko, 1-year-old Michela Kholodenko. As we speak, our investigators are in process of filing both cases with the joint county district attorney's office. Probable cause, we have probable cause, reason to believe, that she committed the homicides", David Babcock, Benbrook police department reprsentative says.

The bodies of the two daughters were discovered in their bedrooms last Thursday (March 16) by their father, 29-year-old Kholodenko as he went to visit them at her house. The charges can bring the death penalty in Texas.
