"Rats desert the ship": Ukrainian police reports detaining 220 militant defectors

Law enforcement officials detained 220 ex-militants from Donetsk region in 2016 only, 7 of them – in the last week

Ukrainian National police official Gen. Vyacheslav Abroskin reports that a large amount of militant defectors have been arrested on the government-held territory of the Donetsk region.

"Those who stood on the "DNR checkpoints" in the cities, which are currently liberated of the terrorists, fled en masse to the "superpower" (Russia - UT) in the hope to sit it out. But the hopelessness of "DPR" (Russian puppet state in Donbas – UT) forced them to return home, after experiencing life in a real menagerie," his emotional post on a Facebook states.

Abroskin gives some statistics in support of his words. According to his data during the first nine months of 2016 the Police in the Donetsk region declared 357 militant suspects from the government-controlled territory, 220 of which have already been detained. 37 of them were arrested by court order, and 137 are still on the wanted list.

During the last week police detained 7 members of the Russian-controlled separatist forces.

"Most of the detainees "have served" at "DPR" checkpoints in Sloviansk and the Kostyantynivka area, one of them guarded the "DPR military depots" and "Madame" was collecting money for the needs of "militias" as well as preparing food for the militants," Abroskin specified.

As UT informed, lately in militant-held territory of Donbas Russian colonel died under unknown circumstances and arrested separatist ex-'Prime Minister' allegedly commited suicide.
