Russian proxies destroy remote camera of OSCE observers

Remote camera of OSCE SMM was giving the picture of situation on western suburb of Donetsk

OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine reports of another obstacle to its observation activities on the territory, controlled by Russian proxies of so-called 'DPR'. Monitors already called this accident the violation of Minsk agreements. According to SMM statement, its not clear what exactly happened to the camera.

"SMM auxiliary camera equipment stolen/destroyed at so-called "DPR"-ctrl Oktiabr mine," – the SMM announces on Tweeter. Oktiabr mine is situated in the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk city.


By the end of August OSCE noted, that the number of explosions in Donbas have increased. At the beginning of September SMM was even forced to leave its forward patrol base due to the close proximity of shelling. On their turn, earlier militant leaders refused to meet OSCE regarding threats towards observers.
