Shooting in Berlin hospital: Doctor died (updated)

Doctor critically injured in university clinic, gunman commits suicide

Police said shots were fired around 1pm local time at the Benjamin Franklin University Hospital in the southwestern neighbourhood of Steglitz. The doctor was critically injured. He died after several hours in intensive care unit. The assailant was a clinic's patient. Anti-terrorist units have been deployed to the clinic.

The incident follows four other attacks in Germany since July 18 that left 10 people dead and dozens injured.
