Shooting reported near Ukraine's Embassy to Canada

Incident occurs a few blocks away from the Ukrainian diplomatic mission

Two people were wounded following a shooting that occurred on May 23, in Ottawa, near the Embassy of Ukraine to Canada, Ukrinform reports.

The Ottawa police were informed of the shooting by local residents. After arriving at the scene, police officers found two people with gunshot wounds as well as shell casings at the crime scene.

The wounded people were taken to hospital, however, their injuries were not life threatening. Police are investigating the case, but so far they have no information who might have committed the assault.

The clashes occurred in O'Сonnor street in downtown Ottawa where Ukraine's Embassy to Canada - just a few blocks from the building of the diplomatic mission.
