Troop withdrawal fails to happen

A trilateral contact group meeting scheduled for today has been postponed to another date

No negotiations today. Delegates of the so-called "Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics" refused to participate in today's trilateral contact group meeting.

The parties were supposed to discuss troops' withdrawal failure via a video conference. Militant forces earlier decided that Ukrainian army has to pull back its weaponry two kilometers away from Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske in Donbas. However, due to separatist shelling along the whole frontline, the withdrawal didn't take place.

Now, Ukrainian representatives insist that, if the video conference doesn't happen, the main topic for October 5th meeting should be cease-fire violations in eastern Ukraine that obstruct to implement recent Minsk arrangements.
