Ukraine's President orders police to investigate Ukrainian journalist Sheremet's death

Famous Ukrainian journalist and Nemtsov's friend killed in car blast in Kyiv

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko instructed law enforcement agencies expeditiously conduct a full investigation of journalist Pavel Sheremet's death.

He wrote in his Facebook on Wednesday, July 20.

"I ordered law enforcement agencies to immediately investigate this crime. Those responsible should be punished," Poroshenko wrote.

Acclaimed Ukrainian journalist Pavlo Sheremet was killed early Wednesday, July 20, in a car explsion in the center of Ukraine's capital city of Kyiv.

Ukraine's Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said that journalist Pavlo Sheremet, one of news agency Ukrainska Pravda leaders, died after an 'explosive device' blowed up his car.
