The detainee's lawyer has filed another appeal to Russian intelligence FSB to see Roman Sushchenko

Lawyer Mark Feygin has addressed another petition to the Russia's intelligence agency FSB about granting him an immediate access to the case of detained Roman Sushchenko.

"I have just filed another appeal to FSB to give me immediate access to Sushchenko's case and a request to the detention facility. Will be waiting", Mark Feygin wrote on his Facebook page today.

The advocate earlier claimed that his client is purposely deprived of legal protection by Russian state bodies.

"I personally brought my report to the investigation department about me taking the case and an appropriate warrant to the detention facility, there should have been no obstacles. I need to start defending my client. In particular, he was arrested as a restriction measure. I need to appeal against it. But he is currently deprived of a right to protection", Mark Feygin commented for 112 TV Channel.

The OSCE representative on freedom of the media, Dunja Mijatovic, called upon the Russian authorities to provide her information on detaining Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, according to her Twitter page.

The Russian FSB claimed they arrested Sushchenko while he was conducting a spy operation. They label him as a colonel of the Ukrainian military intelligence saying he was collecting secret information on Russia's Armed Forces and National Guard. The FSB initiated criminal proceedings against him for 'espionage activities'.
