Ukrainian MP attacked with grenade

Volodymyr Parasyuk and passersby did not sustain injuries

Police have launched an investigation after a grenade was thrown at Ukrainian MP Volodymyr Parasyuk as he was walking home.

The lawmaker and passersby were unharmed. Parasyuk's car and a number of others nearby sustained damage.

A fellow MP gives details:

Anton Herashchenko, Ukrainian MP: "This is a real attempt on his life – a real military grenade. It's a miracle Parasyuk and local residents are still alive."

Local media report several people were seen fleeing from the scene after the blast.
