Canadian director films Holodomor documentary

Premiere of the documentary in Kyiv is planned on November 25

The premiere of the documentary movie, "Genocide Revealed", is expected in Kyiv, on November 25 in the Ukrainian House

The Canadian movie director of Ukrainian descent, Yuriy Luhovy shot the documentary to prove that Holodomor of 1932-1933 had a genocidal character.

The movie is based on the latest archival evidence and memoirs of witnesses."Genocide Revealed" has received 12 international awards, including the American International Film Festival Indie Fest. 

The documentary was shot as a study source for schools and universities, as a source for historians, sociologists, psychologists, journalists, state officials and Ukrainian and international communities.

On November 26, Ukraine and the world will remember the victims of 1932-1933 Holodomor. The latest data provided by the sociological group, "Rating", show that 72% of Ukrainians support the claim that Holodomor was a genocide.

In 2006, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law "On Holodomor of 1932-1933" where it is officially recognized that Holodomor was an act of genocide against Ukrainian nation. 

Holodomor is the artificially created famine of 1932-1933, which was carried out by the government of Soviet Union with an aim to prevent Ukrainian resistance against the Soviet regime.
