Half a million people have visited the festival this year, organisers say 

The final day of Hungary's most famous music festival Sziget features dozens of activities. The Last Shadow Puppets, Parkway Drive, Bullet For My Valentine are only a small part of what the festival will offer to its visitors today. Workshops, parties, and a lot of fun are going to impress everyone witnessing the event.

The annual week-long music festival Sziget takes place in Budapest, Hungary, attracting hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world.

This year's event is conducted on August 10-17, featuring a great number of world-famous artists, such as Rihanna, Muse, David Guetta, the Chemical Brothers, Sum 41, and many others.

Different music stages include Main Stage, World Music Main Stage, A38 Stage, Europe Stage, Telecom Arena. Activity venues, including theater, art zone, and sports area, are all presented at the festival.

The festival was started back in 1993 and originally called Students' Island. Today's name was introduced in 2002. Almost half of visitors come from outside Hungary. The organizers say this year's festival budget exceeded EUR 20 million. The festival's team consists of 16,000 people.
