Ukraine Today visited the International Exhibition Center, where the contest will be organized
The International Exhibition Center, the main venue of Eurovision 2017, is the biggest exhibition building in Ukraine. It consists of three pavilions with a total space of 58,000 square meters.
According to the Eurovision team, it was chosen to host the contest as the most appropriate venue in the country. The competition was really hard. Six cities pretended to become a new Eurovision capital, but Kyiv won.
International Exhibition Center
Two out of three pavilions will be used for Eurovision show. The biggest one can accommodate the stage itself and up to 18,000 of spectators.

The other one is planned to be used as a press center.
The exhibition center also has 16 conference halls and other premises. It is also equipped with fiber optic telecom line to transmit the signal to National TV company of Ukraine broadcasting center.
The press center is equipped with all the necessary tech devices.
One of over 30 exits from the building. All of them are opened simultaneously in case of emergency.
The International Exhibition Center is located rather far from city center, on the left bank of Dnipro river. It is 400 meters from a metro station and 27 kilometers from airport Boryspil.
The nearest metro station, Livoberezhna, is 400 m away.
City administration has already started to prepare to the competition hosting. The show is scheduled for the next May.
The square near the metro station is rather busy.
On September 9, the jury announced that winner of a competition between the cities that wanted to host Eurovision next year. In May 2016, Ukrainian singer Jamala became the best at the Eurovision and thus Ukraine will be the next country to organize the show.
