Queues slowly decrease after Poland re-opened local border traffic

220 cars are staying at Yagodyn checkpoint – this is the busiest crossing point for now. 170 more drivers wait at Ugryniv, the rest are distributed among several more checkpoints.

Poland restored local border traffic on August 3. It was suspended during a month because of security concerns. Warsaw strengthened its border control on July 3rd, before NATO summit and World Youth Days, that took place in the country.

The border services of both countries say the rush at checkpoints should be over in a few days.
