ERR News: Estonian, Dutch defense chiefs exchange thoughts about NATO's Warsaw summit

NATO Summit to be held on July 8-9

Commander-in-Chief of the Estonian Defence Forces Lt. Gen. Riho Terras met with Dutch counterpart Chief of Defence of the Armed Force of the Netherlands Gen. Thomas A. "Tom" Middendorp in the Netherlands on April 15, with whom he discussed topics on the agenda of NATO's upcoming 2016 Warsaw Summit coming up in July.

"Face-to-face meetings and serving side by side serve to strengthen cooperation both within NATO and between its member states better than any documents or treaties", says Tallin's military spokespeople.

The Estonian chief of defense acknowledged the bilateral cooperation in training with Dutch armed forces, and was pleased to note that a Dutch mechanized infantry company with CV90 armored combat vehicles is slated to take part in this year's Spring Storm military exercise in Estonia in May.
