At least 20 were injured in the blast
A large explosion was heard in the city of Shirvan in eastern Azerbaijan, RFE/RL reported on Tuesday, July 26. The blast took place at the "Araz" ammunition factory which belongs to the country's Defense Ministry.
At least 20 were wounded in the incident, they were rushed to a local hospital. One of the injured was in critical condition, sources said.
The government provides no official information about possible casualties so far.
A video of the burding factory was uploaded by the Azerbaijani office of RFE/RL.
Witnesses present at the site say the explosions are still occurring, rocking the city and its surroundings. Windows in multiple buildings have been shattered by the blasts.

Baku is evacuating the residents that live in the vicinity of the ammo factory. All roads in the 2-kilometer area have been blocked by the police and emergency services.
