Ukrainian President dismisses Navy Commander

Haiduk's systematic failure to fulfill his duties led the Ukrainian leader to make this decision

On April 15, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree to dismiss Serhiy Haiduk from the post of Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The President explained the dismissal of Haiduk from the post of Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by shortcomings in implementing his official duties and low credibility.

"Taking into account the position of volunteers and the public, systemic weaknesses in implementing the official duties, as well as low credibility among the staff, I've decided to dismiss Serhiy Haiduk from the post of Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Poroshenko wrote on Facebook.
