Russian-backed separatist forces attack positions of Ukrainian soldiers

No losses among Ukrainians are reported

62 times Russian-backed terrorists shelled Ukrainian positions during the last 24 hours. This night Russian-backed terrorists attacked the positions of Ukrainian soldiers in Maryinka, situated to the west of the city of Donetsk. There were no losses in Ukrainian army.

National Guard fighters defending the town are mostly locals themselves, having been born in Donetsk. Now they all fight for Ukrainian sovereignty in the battalion "Donbas-Ukraine". During the first two months since it was formed two soldiers have been killed, more than 40 fighters got wounded. 38 of them have already returned to the battle front.

The soldiers say the warfare has become harder without the 7th wave of mobilisation. The most important achievement though is that during 2 years of anti-terrorist operation they have learnt to withstand specially trained Russian-backed separatists, as well as mercenaries from Chechnya, and soldiers of Russia's special forces.
