Offshore accounts of 'power player' Poroshenko revealed

Hromadske TV: Documents also show Odesa Mayor Hennady Trukhanov is citizen of Russia, not Ukraine

The secret wealth and offshore tax schemes of dozens of prominent world figures - including President Petro Poroshenko and 20 other Ukrainians (among them - former Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko), have been exposed.

The trove of documents were leaked from the Panama-based law firm 'Mossack Fonseca'.

The findings also appear to show a USD two billion dollar trail leading to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In total, over 11.5 million files were obtained by German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung and studied by investigative journalists worldwide. The leaked so-called "Panama Papers" cover a period of almost 40 years, from 1977 until as recently as last December.

The files appear to show some companies domiciled in tax havens were being used for suspected money laundering, arms and drug deals, and tax evasion. Full report
