USA Today: Obama to push controversial trade deal in Germany

Obama and Merkel will discuss the coalition fight against Islamic State and counter-terrorism cooperation 

President Obama arrived  to open the world's largest industrial technology trade fair and to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel as he tries to win support for a trade deal between the United States and the European Union.

Air Force One touched down at Hannover Langenhagen Airport in the capital of the German state of Lower Saxony around midday.

Obama joined Merkel at the Hannover Messe trade show fresh from a weekend round of golf with British Prime Minister David Cameron, lunch and dinner with members of the royal family and his controversial intervention in the United Kingdom's debate over whether it should leave the EU.  Full story
