112: State Border Guard to strengthen patrol over waters of Black Sea

Tight security measures over May holidays

Ukraine's border guards will conduct air patrol flights over the Black Sea, the agency's press service reported on Sunday. The naval vessels and mobile border aircraft will be patrolling the waters by May 10, till the end of May holidays.

"Five tactical groups of ships and motor boats of the coastal guard cover possible sea approaches from the south. Diamonds, Ukraine's light trainer aircraft, watch over the situation in Ukraine's territorial waters and over the border with temporarily occupied Crimea. Yesterday, the Diamonds performed three flights and observed over 7,000 square kilometers of Ukraine's territorial waters of Black and Azov Sea, and 135 kilometers of the state border," reads the message of the agency's press service.
