Batkivshchyna and Radical party want new voting on the government

Yulia Tymoshenko and Oleh Liashko claim Cabinet of Ministers was elected illegally

Leaders of 'Batkivschyna' (Fatherland) and the Radical Party want a re-vote on the Ukrainian government.

Yulia Tymoshenko and Oleh Liashko claim the recently-formed Cabinet of Ministers was elected illegally.

The Parliament approved the whole list of ministers in one vote. According to the deputies, two candidates offered by the President had to be endorsed separately. The lawmakers want to file a lawsuit in a Kyiv court. They expect it to order another parliamentary voting on the government.

The deputies are calling on their colleagues to support their cause.

"I want to ask "Samopomich" and other parties: let us do it together", according to a statement by Yulia Tymoshenko.

The new government was approved by the Ukrainian Parliament on April 14. It followed the appointment of Volodymyr Groysman as the country's Prime Minister.

The new Cabinet of Ministers was greeted by the E.U. and the United States. It is seen as a way out from the political crisis Ukraine found itself in.
