Belgian police protest reopening Brussels airport over security concerns

Police, fire brigade and Belgian Civil Aviation Authority have been checking the airport

Brussels airport may not be partially reopened as was previously planned after a protest from the police. Authorities have voiced their security concerns to media outlets.

The Zaventem international airport closed down after twin suicide bomb attacks on March 22.

Belgian police, the fire brigade and the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority in the last days have been checking the airport, which is one of the largest in Europe.
