EU Committee of Permanent Representatives gives green light to the start of negotiations
The Committee of Permanent Representatives has voted for visa liberalization for Ukraine.
The next step is to conduct negotiations on implementing the visa regime suspension mechanism for Schengen zone. The visa-free regime for Ukraine and Georgia will start functioning only after this plan starts to take effect.
The delay in liberalizing Ukraine' visa question is connected to negotiating the mechanism of suspension the visa-free regime between the European Union and third countries.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko voiced a hope that Ukraine will get the visa-free regime before the EU-Ukraine summit, planned for November, 24.
