'Germany holds tough stance on Russian sanctions, despite pressure'

Ukraine Today finds out more about Germany's strategy to deal with Moscow's actions in Ukraine

Germany vows to maintain current sanctions on Russia over Putin's actions in Ukraine until the Minsk ceasefire agreement is adhered to. That's according to Marieluise Beck, a member of both the German Bundestag and Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

She says the Kremlin has been surprised by strong European unity, despite some members including Spain and Italy calling for the sanctions to be reviewed.

Ms. Beck also reveals more about Europe's work to Russian state media's attempts to influence opinions in German and how German perceptions of Russia have changed in recent years.
