Crimean collaborant proposes bill on sole ideology for Russia

New universal ideology is proposed for Russia, despite overt contradiction to the country's main law 

Senator for Russia-occupied Crimea Olha Kovitidi filed a draft bill on a new sole ideology for Russia, the Izvestia newspaper reports. 

"Aiming to ensure unity of Russian people, forming the country's modern ideology, we can start talking about the necessity of availability of a sole ideology for Russia. The mentioned draft bill is already filed to the State Duma", Kovitidi said.

This new universal ideology must provide the spiritual resurrection and memory of historical events that played a significant role in establishing morality, conception of duty and honour to the motherland, she also claimed. Also, it must an incarnation of the unity of people's will, according to the collaborator senator. 

The draft bill has already been registered for discussion at Russian parliament.

According to Article 13 of Russia's constitution, no ideology can be established as official and mandatory, and the ideological diversity is announced in the country.
