Eight Ukrainian soldiers wounded in Donbas warzone

Russian-backed separatist forces launch 52 attacks over the past day

No Ukrainian soldiers were killed, but eight suffered injuries in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, presidential spokesman for ATO issues Oleksandr Motuzianyk reported on Wednesday.

As earlier reported, combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian military positions in Donbas 52 times in the past 24 hours, including 23 times in the Donetsk sector, 20 times in the Mariupol sector and nine times in the Luhansk sector.

In the Mariupol sector, the militants launched 60 shells from the 122mm artillery systems on the village of Chermalyk.
