EU Council working group discusses visa-free regime for Ukraine

The EU Council visa working group held a technical discussion (without making a decision) on the European Commission proposal to grant a visa-free regime to Ukraine.

This is reported by the Ukrainian news outlet UNIAN referring to their source in the EU Council.

The group met on Tuesday, on June 14. "No decision has been made so far. This was the first round of discussions, and they will continue debates at the next meeting", the source in the EU Council said.

Ukraine Today earlier reported that the European Commission officially proposed visa liberalisation for Ukraine on April 20. Kyiv has satisfied all the requirements needed for visa-free travel for Ukrainians across Europe.
