1,000 new police officers will be trained in June

Today, on June 5, the first group of Ukrainian Western-style patrol police officers left for Turkey to take part in a training programme there.

22 patrol police officers, including two girls, will be coached within Turkish law enforcement agencies during a week, Ukraine's National Guard press-service reports.

Police officers will be trained in response tactics for mass events. Patrol police officers should possess such skills, senior legal officer for patrol police Olesya Omelyanovich says.

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko settled the training issue with his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his visit to Istanbul in May.

Almost 1,000 patrol police officers will upgrade their professional level in Turkey in June at Turkey's Security Department, Public Security Department, Academy of Fight Against Terrorism, Academy of Fight Against Drugs and Organized Crime, as well as Police Academy.
