Geoffrey Pyatt to leave Ukraine for Greece?

Greek media report U.S. ambassador to Ukraine may be relocated to Athens 

U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt is likely to leave Kyiv and move to Athens this year. He is expected to be appointed the next American ambassador to Greece.

Greek media outlets report, Washington has already sent the relevant document to the Greek government. Now the United States is waiting for the answer from Athens.

"Geoffrey Pyatt is chosen the next U.S. ambassador to Greece. Pyatt became widely known due to a conversation he had with U.S. official Victoria Nuland, during the Russia-Ukraine crisis in January 2014", said in the article.

The Greek journalists describe Geoffrey Pyatt as "an experienced and firm diplomat".

Pyatt was appointed the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine in 2014. During the events of the Maidan revolution he supported Ukrainians in their protest against country's President Viktor Yanukovych.
