Humanitarian pause: fighting continues

Despite a humanitarian pause announced by Russia, shellings and fighting continue

10-hour humanitarian pause is in effect in the Syrian capital of Aleppo. It has been organized by the Russian army to let civilians leave the city.

Yet, the last time there was a humanitarian pause, people were shelled all along the humanitarian corridors. Meanwhile, Russia continues to insist it bombs only insurgents positions.

As a result of shellings, dozens of civilians and Syrian opposition fighters die.
