People calling for better living conditions and business environment
Several hundred people took to the streets of the Russian town, Artyomovsk in protest against the authorities.
Demonstrators gathered at a square in the centre of the town, where a monument of former Soviet leader, Vladimir Lenin, stands, calling for better living conditions, long-sought housing repairs and the reelection of the authorities.
Residents of the town with a population of around 30,000, say they are under pressure of poverty and unemployment. Many blame the governor, mayor and regional parliament for inactivity.
