Klimkin indicates progress on Ukraine's visa-free path

Only legal formalities left for the visa liberalization as a consensus in the EU reached

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin claims there is only a formal procedure left before the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukraine.

This statement was presented at the Verkhovna Rada session on Friday, according to the news agency Ukrainska Pravda.

"Today, all three key institutions have clearly said that Ukraine meets all the criteria. Now, there will be consultations concerning a legal procedure for granting Ukraine a visa-free regime", the Minister said.

"We hold consultations with the European Parliament, EU countries about how the mechanism regulating migration risks will look like. As soon as the mechanism is approved, we will move forward towards a visa liberalization", he added.
