Latvia's fight against 'hybrid threats'

New legislation aims to counter Russian propaganda and information crimes 

Latvia is proposing a new law in a case of a hybrid war. The country's parliament approved amendments to the Criminal Code that foresee severe punishment for anti-government activity.

Attempting to threaten territorial integrity and sovereignty of Latvia will now come with an 8-year sentence. Foreigners that call for separatist ideology can be jailed for up-to five years.
