Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs voted for the report of contributor on Ukrainian question Mariya Gabriel

The LIBE Committee approved the report that recommends providing a visa-free regime for Ukraine. During the next ten days, parliamentarians deliberate in the proposed amendments of this report. The second vote will be on these amendments and finally, the third meeting – which will be dedicated to the visa-free regime voting. As of now, it is hoped the question will be decided until mid-October. After the LIBE Committee voting, European Parliament should approve the decision.

The Committee have already voted to grant visa-free regime to Georgia.

Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs is the main institution within European Parliament to approve visa liberalization regime for non-EU countries.
