Marie Yovanovitch to become next U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine

Current envoy Pyatt will take office as Ambassador to Greece

Marie Yovanovitch will become the new Ambassador of the U.S. to Ukraine after current Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt finishes his three-year term. That's according to the Ukrainian media outlet Den citing a source in the State Department.

Marie Yovanovitch previously served as Ambassador to Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, and also was Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.

Since 2012, Yovanovitch has acted as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of European and Eurasian Afffairs.
