Ministers of Defence from the NATO alliance meet in Brussels

Military officials discuss Russian aggression in Ukraine as well as Russian threats to Europe

NATO Defence Ministers  meet in Brussels on October 26. They are to discuss the Russian aggression and Russian army build-up along NATO-Russia borders.

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, said before the meeting that Russia actively conducts military drills near the border, and often they happen without notice. During the last month, Russia has sent nuclear-capable Iskander missile launchers to Kaliningrad and suspended plutonium utilisation agreement with the USA.

Russia also continues to destabilise eastern Ukraine and provide military and financial support to separatist forces. Stoltenberg also accused Moscow of bombing Syrian Aleppo and causing a humanitarian crisis in the city.
